#ENDSARS: Thugs, hoodlums loot stores, businesses across Nigeria

Amid the violence that trailed the #ENDSARS protests across Nigeria, hoodlums, thugs and residents have continued to loot major stalls, warehouses and businesses in the country.

The development comes against the backdrop of the complete breakdown of law and order in most cities and towns in the country after the #ENDSARS protest took a violent turn earlier in the week.

Trouble started Tuesday night when details emerged of shootings at the Lekki area of Lagos where protesters gathered to air their grievances.

The development would snow-ball into full-scale anarchy in most part of the country as thugs, hoodlums and residents stormed major stores and shopping malls to vandalise property.

In Lagos, Ede, Ilorin, Osogbo, Ife, Ibadan, Aba, and other parts of the country, hoodlums and residents have continued to loot major stores and shopping malls.

In Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, videos emerged showing how the Palms Mall on Fate Road was looted and vandalized by hoodlums and residents. The mall hosts stores of Shoprite, and other big stores.

The Kwara State Government has since declared curfew to arrest the situation.

The situation was the same at Shoprite Malls in Surulere and Sangotedo areas of Lagos.

Numerous stalls and shops were vandalized by hoodlums and residents who carted away good worth millions of naira.

In Portharcourt, Onitsha, Ede, Oshogbo and Ife, hoodlums and residents also besieged warehouses supposedly housing Covid-19 palliatives and carted away valuable goods and supply materials.
